Maternity Session // Sandbridge Beach

I was going through some images last night from 2018 and I realized that I just had to share this maternity session from last summer with you. We met at the Back Bay Refuge in Sandbridge, Virginia Beach. (If you haven’t been there, I highly recommend it! It’s a bit off the beaten path, but it’s worth the trip!)

Stephanie was seriously so adorable when she was pregnant. You know when someone is totally “pulling pregnancy off”? That was her!

It is a really funny story how Stephanie got in front of my camera. I was at a local restaurant with a friend (and photographer) of mine, when her and her adorable and perfect belly came walking around the corner to ask us what we wanted to drink. I paused, for what felt like forever, answered… and there was silence when she walked away. My photographer friend and I quickly turned to each other and we both had the same thought…. “LETS PHOTOGRAPH HER!”

We both had new maternity dresses that we needed someone to model in, and voila, perfect match. Who says this 30 something year old wife and mom of 1 can’t pick up chicks at a bar? (I just made myself laugh at that and was going to delete it, but it’s just too funny.)
