Having an engagement session and sharing the photos afterward is a great way to celebrate this milestone in your lives. If you want to ensure that your engagement photos are unique and that you’re able to enjoy the experience from start to finish, here are a few important tips and tricks that will come in handy.

Tips and Tricks:

-Avoid wearing matchy-matchy outfits. There are ways to coordinate what you’re wearing without wearing exactly the same colors and style.

• 

-Take time to find the perfect photographer. Don’t select the first photographer, you find based on availability and cost. Taking the time to choose the right photographer will make a huge difference to your photos.

-Don’t shoot in the middle of the day. Scheduling your shoot just after sunrise or just before sunset will give you the most romantic & complimentary lighting, that’s why they call it the “golden hour”!

Pro Tip: I always schedule my engagement sessions about an hour before sunset to take advantage of the soft, golden light.

-Don’t overthink the shoot. You want to feel relaxed and in love on the day, so reach out and chat to us if you’re feeling awkward or nervous. We’re here to help.

-Please bring comfortable shoes! Chances are you will be walking around during your shoot so make sure that you’ll be comfortable so we can get to the best locations!

-Stay away from clothing with busy patterns and large logos. You want the focus to be on you and your partner and not the big Nike swoosh on your shirt!
