We meet again wonderful blog readers!

I recently photographed Cierra and Travis at the Lynnhaven Pier, in Virginia Beach. This adorable couple have been married for almost 4 years.  Ahh.. I bet you thought this was an engagement session!  So did most of the people who walked by us during the session.  They received many ” congrats”, “congratulations, when is the big day”, etc.. etc…

The reasoning behind the session is simple and quite honestly, a little emotional; Travis was leaving the following afternoon for an 8 month deployment.  They wanted to have a collection of fresh photographs for each of them to cherish throughout the deployment.

It was a bittersweet session.  They are such an adorable couple, and we had so much fun, but I couldn’t help but feel a tiny bit sad knowing what lied ahead for the two of them.  I am a soon to be military spouse, I have gone through many deployments, moves, etc, and I know all too well about the sacrifices you have to make and hardships military families go through.

Bon Voyage Mini Session details aside, let’s get to the present: Cierra and Travis’s session! These two are real naturals in front of the camera. Their good looks, fabulous outfit choices, a sublime location and their genuine love for each other made this photo shoot one to remember!
