I want to chat about the importance of branding photos. I promise I’ll get to it, but first I need to acknowledge how fantastic Ally’s branding session was. It was literally so hard to narrow down the photos to share on the blog because this girl does NOT take a bad photo. Every single picture she was bringing it 100% just by being her gorgeous self. Ally needed branding photo for her business and I was honored to work with her.

A branding session is so very important for your business if you rely heavily on social media or even just want a strong social media presence. While your clients and followers want to see the products you’re promoting or the services you offer, they also just want to see you. They want to get to know you. The social media posts that have your face ALWAYS do better than the rest because we’re all hardwired for personal connection. A professional branding session can give you high quality photos to use for that purpose.

Here are some tips for your branding session:

• Get your hair and makeup done! Have a pro take care of it so you don’t have to stress and so you look polished and ready for the camera.
• Choose outfits and a location that fit your brand. If you’re an influencer that specializes in athletic apparel and wellness, you probably don’t want to bring a business suit. Stick to what makes you YOU. Choose colors that align with your brand!
• Think about props! Bring your computer, phone, products you’re working with, and anything that will bring out your personality. Do you LOVE coffee? Bring your favorite coffee cup!
• Hire a photographer you feel comfortable with and who’s work you love!
