Thursday is here and that means the weekend is right around the corner and the work week is almost over. I really don’t get days off, especially during the summer, but at least the hubby is home and we can settle down a bit and have some family time.
If you haven’t noticed, Favorite Things is brand new to the Sami Roy Photography blog. Every once in a while, I’ll be sending out a list of my favorite things of that week… sometimes recipes or camera equipment, or they could be selfies and fun things I found on the internet. It’s my hope that these fun features will show more of my personality as a mom and business woman.
To kick off this week’s Favorite Things, I’ll be sharing things I without a doubt, cannot live without – things that I use on a daily basis that get me through my crazy, busy, chaotic world.
This week’s Favorite Things:
My coffee press. My goodness… I wouldn’t be able to survive my days if this little piece of equipment didn’t exist in my life. If you’ve never had a cup of joe from a coffee press, you are missing out, my friend.
Tervis Cups. When pouring myself a drink (coffee, water, or even a cocktail), I always reach for my trusty Tervis Cups. I don’t grab any other cup from my cabinet when I’m pouring myself a drink. (I do drink wine out of a wine glass because I have to have boundaries and always try to appear classy). My grandmother gave me a set of Tervis cups when I was in college and I thought it was a lame gift. Boy, I was mistaken. Fast forward 15 years later and I’m still talking about them, so I guess you can call me a mega fan.
And last but not least, my favorite home item is my very own personal house keeper (kind of); My Roomba. Guys, seriously. I am not lazy. I run a business from home, have a one year old, two black labs (who are shedding right now thanks to this warm spring weather!) and a husband who is often out of the house and travelling. I’m a busy lady and this little fella (we call him Randy) helps me keep my floors dog fur and dirt free. I’m a self proclaimed Roomba addict… he’s actually cleaning up my house as we speak!
Other things that caught my eye this week:
- Famous B&W Photos Turned into Color. Gotta’ love Photoshop for cool projects like this.
- The lightbulb goes off! Researchers are figuring out “Eureka” moments.
- This new spin on stuffed peppers looks delicious, kid friendly and perfect for weekend breakfasts.
