Hey! Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I’m always busy photographing and sharing so grab a glass of your favorite beverage, get comfortable, stay awhile and browse away. I can’t wait to hear from you!
Our growing family // a visit home
I feel honored that when I travel back to Massachusetts to visit family, I am able to capture memorable moments for not only myself, but for the rest of the family to enjoy and cherish for years to come.
A few years ago, I went through a time when I would actually look for excuses to leave my camera at home, can you believe it? When we went to any event, traveled any where or even when we attended weddings, I would always opt to leave what my husband calls “the good camera” at home. I always thought of it as my “time off” and I didn’t want to have to lug a big camera around when I was technically off the job.
Those days are over! Now that we are so far away from our growing family, I capitalize on any time we have with them and try to capture every moment. I think I have moved so far to the other side of the spectrum, I may border on annoying everyone. They will appreciate the captured memories, right?
We had such a wonderful visit with family last week and although we were only home for a few short days, we packed as much family time in as we could with barbeques, dinners, ice cream outings, lunches and of course enjoying the beautiful New England summer weather. Everytime we visit home, we leave feeling sad we didn’t have more time with loved ones and we always wish we lived a little closer… especially since we had a 10 hour drive ahead of us!
BUT… luckily I did bring my “good camera” with me and I was able to capture and preserve so many special moments over the weekend.
Our adorable nephew Mason is a ham for the camera and he’s lucky his Auntie Sami doesn’t live closer to him because he would be my full time model!
