Are you a photographer or a Photo Booth vendor?

Great Question! I happen to be both!  I have been photographing weddings, corporate events and special events for over 10 years and decided to add photo booths to my photography arsenal. My photography expertise guarantees that you will have an experienced photographer on site, but also someone who knows how to work a crowd and a party.

What type of events do you serve?

You name it. I have set the booth up at weddings, proms, baby showers, fund-raisers, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate events, customer appreciation days, grand openings, birthday parties, awards banquets, anniversaries and more! Reach out and tell me what you have planned and find out about the packages.  I can tailor something for any type of event.

What is an “Open-air Photo Booth”?
Our open air photo booth lets everyone in on the action! An Open Air Photo Booth can fit almost double the amount of people than what traditional enclosed booths can. The open air booth is equipped with high-end digital cameras and a special flash to produce flattering studio-quality photos. Get crazy with the backdrop, fit the whole bridal party, and let your guests enjoy the entertainment of not only using the booth, but watching other people use it too!
How long does it take to set up?

I usually need 60 minutes prior to opening the booth for entertainment to set everything up. Some events require advanced setup. Depending on timing, distance and other bookings, there may be a small travel or downtime charge for advanced very early setup – but usually we can accommodate without additional fees. Once you discuss your plan with us, we can advise and take care of everything else.

How many people fit in the booth?

Well let’s just say we have had been known to squeeze as many guests in as possible, our record is somewhere in the teens! That’s the beauty of our photo booth – it is not limited. Our photo booth requires a minimum of 9×9 area to set up, but we will take as much space as you have available for us! I take great pride in having a Photo Booth that can quickly adapt when a large group of guests want to huddle up for a photo! The more people in the booth laughing and having a good time will ensure we are the life of the event.

Can we choose the color of the background?

I have a wide variety of backdrops available for you to choose from. You have the option to create your own backdrop or we can customize a backdrop tailored to your event for an additional fee.

Can I personalize the photo strips?

You sure can! I personalize the photo strips with names, dates, monograms, logos, or any other graphics. Unlike other companies that only let you customize the top portion, I will customize the entire photo strip for you free of charge.

Are the photos of high quality?

I wouldn’t have it any other way! I use a high quality DSLR canon camera (similar to the camera I photograph weddings and events with!), Windows tablet, and DNP printer to ensure you get clear and vibrant photos. All camera settings are adjusted on-site at your event to make sure you get the best quality photos.

Why would I want a scrapbook of the photo strips when I have the digital files?

The scrapbook is the perfect addition to any package, especially weddings! It is meant for you to have as a take away from your event. Imagine getting home and being able to look through your scrapbook while laughing hysterically at your family and friends in over sized sun glasses, boas and funky hats while reading their messages of love and O-so-wise advice on marriage. I really can’t think of a better way to end your night! Include it in your package as an add-on!

What kind of props do you provide, and can I bring some of my own?

My props cover a wide range of fun items that are constantly changing. Some props you will usually find are: feather boas, Hawaiian leis, big sunglasses, all sorts of different hats (such as cowboy, police man, pirate, etc.), crowns and tiaras, moustaches on sticks, picture frames and more! We can also do customized prop sets if your event has a theme. You are 100% welcome to bring your own props as well.. the more the merrier, right?!

Do you have military/non-profit discount pricing?

Yes I do! I am proud to support our military service men and women. All active duty and verteran customers receive a 5% discount. This discount applies to all of our photo booth packages and is our way of saying thank you for your service

Do you have insurance?

Absolutely! I protect the guests and my equipment with a $1,000,000 liability policy so you have nothing to worry about. Sami Roy Photography is a full service photography company and I do not cut any corners in bringing you the best in event photography entertainment! You and your guests are protected.

Will there be a booth attendant at my event?

Yes, I take pride in encouraging your guests to join in on the photo booth fun. Me or one of my professionally dressed, friendly attendants will be present during the entire photo booth experience period to ensure you and your guests maximize and enjoy your photo booth experience.

Do I have to pay tax on my photo booth rental?
In the state of Virginia all photographic services are taxable at the 6% rate. This tax will be added to your final invoice and is not included in the booth fees.
