Meet Sami

learn about the photographer
Hey there

  I´m Sami

I asked three of my closest friends about how they would describe me, and they responded professional, passionate, and most of all – silly! As a devoted portrait + wedding photographer in Virginia Beach, VA, I strive to capture my client’s most precious moments for them to enjoy for many years to come.

Part of what I love most about being a photographer is that it allows me to do what I love while also spending time with those that matter most. I love working with people who cherish their relationships and value the importance of a good, timeless photograph – both candid & posed.

A few things you should know about me:  I love scarfs (like, really love them). I will bring a step stool when I photograph you because I am barely 5 feet tall.  I drink way too much coffee. I am not an organized person but I try so very hard to be (Thank you Marie Kondo) and my taste in music has not changed since High School (I love myself some DMB, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, and all the Country!).

My Little Family

My Heart

In 2015, I married my college sweetheart after we moved to Virginia Beach from San Diego.  One year later, we became parents to the coolest little dude ever.  4 years after that, we welcomed another baby boy into the world! They are the light in my life and the reason I work so hard to be the best I can be.  They are also responsible for my lack of sleep and my grey hair, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

We also have two crazy, out of control, energetic black labs, Lexi & Jackson.   Basically what I’m trying to say is there is never a dull moment in our household!
